Jessica is the mother of two young girls and personally understands the physiological changes which occur pre and postnatally. She is an excellent resource in exploring the best treatment approach during pregnancy and after baby. She has experience in paediatrics and coaching, including the neuromuscular population, and enjoys working with youth. As a running injury specialist, she can provide expert knowledge on injury prevention and guide a safe return to sport.

Jessica is avidly involved in the athletic community and currently enjoys court and beach volleyball, tennis, skating, running, and snowboarding. Her other identity is edible gardening enthusiast. She enjoys discussing healthy eating, and sharing both recipes and gardening experiences.

Her academic background is comprised of a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Dalhousie University and a Masters of Physiotherapy from Queens University. In May 2020 she will commence a Doctorate of Science in Rehabilitation and Health Leadership. She has advanced training in pain science, pelvic health, diastasis rehabilitation, and sports injuries. At the national level, she assumes the role of Communication Chair for the Women’s Health Division of The Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Of course, she is registered with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists.

Jessica has created and teaches two courses for rehabilitation specialists: 'Clinical Pilates with a Pelvic Health Perspective' and 'Assessment and Treatment in Pregnancy for the Orthopaedic Physiotherapist'. She is passionate about advancing the standards of care for women’s health in Canada and promoting competence in all Physiotherapists working with perinatal populations.
