Susan graduated from the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy in 1991, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1988. Susan practised as a physiotherapist in Halifax at the QEII hospital and the NS Rehabilitation center, as well as in Victoria, B.C, until 2003. Her last five years of practice specialized in outpatient orthopaedic caseloads. She took her first Pilates class in 2001 and was hooked instantly. Her passion led her to become a certified Stott Pilates Mat instructor in 2002, from which time she has been teaching classes to the public. In 2010, Susan completed postgraduate Stott Pilates rehabilitation courses in Toronto and Portland Oregon, making her one of the first certified Stott Pilates Rehabilitation therapists for Mat and Reformer in Halifax.
