Jenna Stirling (she/her)

Jenna (she/her) graduated from the University of Ottawa in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences (Honours). She continued her education at Queen’s University in Kingston, ON where she attained a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Following completion of her degree, Jenna moved to St. John’s, NL where she began a practice in orthopedics and pelvic health physiotherapy. She has since returned to her home province, Nova Scotia, to continue her career in physiotherapy at Synergy.

Jenna treats a mixed caseload of orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapy patients at Synergy as well as teaches several PhysioPilates classes. Jenna believes in a patient-centered care approach that begins with listening to the patient’s story and developing a treatment plan together that addresses the patient’s goals. She has a strong background in manual therapy and exercise science that she incorporates into her treatment model.

Jenna’s current interest and area of education is in labour and delivery. Jenna’s goals are to provide a continuum of physiotherapy care throughout the entire process of pregnancy, labour and delivery, and post-partum recovery for the expectant individual. Jenna has training, education, and experience in pre and postnatal care, and is now expanding her practice to include labour and delivery support through education and physical support during the time of birth. Jenna offers prenatal appointments from 12 weeks of gestation through to term, in-person and telehealth support during labour and delivery up to and following birth, and post-partum rehabilitation for all birthing persons.
